Understanding SCIO

Space for curiosity.
Room for clarity.

A thoughtful explanation should make a subject easier to understand—and leave you free to ask the next question.

Start with the words

What is
biofeedback?

Biofeedback uses information about bodily activity to help a person learn to influence a response.

For example, a device may display heart rate or muscle tension while someone practises a relaxation technique. The feedback, the skill being learned and the measured outcome are part of the method.

Where SCIO fits

A holistic approach.
A personal conversation.

SCIO is a computer-based system used in complementary wellness practice, often described as quantum biofeedback. Practitioners use it within sessions centred on stress management and wellbeing.

SCIO sessions typically involve a computer interface and sensor straps. Practitioner descriptions focus on electrical reactivity and individually selected biofeedback programs. The session process and your interests can be discussed before you begin.

without the pressure.

scio4health is a space to ask about this approach through scio4health, with a particular focus on animals and sport.

You can ask what happens during a session, what the system is intended to do, how the information is interpreted, and which publications you might like to explore. An informed conversation makes room for your questions.
